Hunger Games

I loved the Hunger Games. It was a great book and well written. I was constantly on edge wondering what was going to happen. The main character never dies especially if there is another book, but how she survives is what kept my attention drawn. This novel is similar to the other novels we've read because it's attacking the government and going against what they say or demand. My reaction to the love triangle of Katniss, Peeta, and Gale was really intense. I say that her and Gale should be together. I liked Peeta, but her and Gale have been closer a lot longer. Also at the end with the turn of events saying that only one person would now win, I couldn't imagine Katniss or Peeta turning on each other. I was sure that something else would kill one or the other, like one of the dogs or something like that. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

  1. I like the picture! There were many times in the book where I would be scared she was going to die just because of the risks she took and the way the author set the book up she didn't have to survive. That might sound weird but I think you know what I mean. Overall, I think our group loved this book the best!

  2. I feel you Britt, but then I thought "hey she is the main character in this book and is telling the story, so she can't die, but how does she survive." This is the only reason I kept reading. Our group loved this book! But Liz, I have to disagree with you, I think her and Peeta should be together. To me, they would be a better couple!

  3. I never thought about that Katniss was the main character, so she probably wouldn't die, especially if there are other books, this was the best book we read so far.

  4. I also feel that this was my favorite book so far. I felt so connected to the characters. I thought that Katniss and Gale would end up together as well because they were basically in love before the games but didn't realize it.
